Remote consultations: Do they work as well as in-person sessions?

(Português ver aqui)

There are many things in my work that are now ordinary to me but, I understand, seem very strange to those who are first exposed to it. One of these things is the fact that this energy therapy works perfectly well at a distance. That is, the therapist (me) can influence and affect the energy of the other person without touching them, regardless of the distance that separates us – be it 1 meter, 100 km, or 10,000 km. In fact, the person could be on the other side of the Universe and it would still work regardless, because the link is instantaneous.

I thought of writing this blog because I watched, in a recent documentary on Portuguese TV (RTP), something that once again matches my own experience, and that I had also studied: in scientific terms, this mental influence at a distance is very well documented.

Here is an excerpt from episode 2 of the documentary series “PAra Além do Cérebro” on RTP1, which deals with telepathy and remote mental influence:

I have been treating people remotely for many years, and at the moment, about half of my patients have consultations of this kind, most of them by videoconference but I also have many consultations done only by audio/telephone. All of them are equally effective. In fact, and although I like being in person with someone as there is more opportunities for personal interaction, remote consultations can be often even more effective, for a number of factors, such as the person being more relaxed in their own home, for example, or me not being distracted by the presence of people and being able to feel better inside (which is where the magic happens), etc.

For a long time I even avoided giving remote consultations. My ethics and morals wouldn’t allow me. I was afraid, like the people who approach me about this, that it really wouldn’t work so well. That’s why I’ve done a lot of experimenting, with all kinds of cases, in all kinds of situations, at any geographical distance for several years (I’ve treated and continue to treat people who were in the same city but miles away from me, in several other cities in Portugal, in Brazil, the USA, Indonesia, Australia, France, Switzerland, England, etc.), and now I’m absolutely certain that the effect is the same, and real. For example, I’ve seen the same patient sometimes in person, other times remotely, several times, and from these experiences I’ve concluded that the effect is the same: if a case is difficult to treat remotely, for example, it is also difficult to treat in Gerson, and vice versa. In fact, most people who had in-person consultations, and after trying remote sessions, later prefer to have them remotely, because it’s more convenient and cheaper (because they don’t have to travel to see me), and they feel the same therapeutic effect. I have just had remote consultations with people who came for their first face-to-face consultations for example, and both of them, initially skeptical, really felt that the effect was the same remotely as in person. They felt the same therapeutic effects, release of tension, relaxation and dissapearence of the inital symptoms. I had many clients over the years who have enjoyed incredible results, and I have never met them in person – they are all over the country and the world!

First of all, the effect of remote mental focus itself, despite being well documented, is not at all known to the public. But yes, there is very robust, decades-old science on this subject, showing that one person (sender) can influence another person (receiver) physiologically, in the way that the sender wants to affect them. In other words, in a classic experiment, both people, sender and receiver, are placed in completely isolated rooms and separated in space so that there is no possibility of contact between them (audible, electromagnetic, etc.), and both are connected to devices that measure various physiological parameters of their bodies in real time, such as temperature, electrical conductivity of the skin (which gives a measure of the degree of excitability or relaxation in which the person is in), heart rate, breathing, brain waves, etc. The receiver is told to simply relax – he does not have to do anything or think about anything special. The sender is instructed to try to exert a physiological influence on the receiver, in the sense of exciting or calming him or her, at times chosen at random by a computer. The results showed, after numerous tests, statistically significant effects (apart from chance) of there actually being a measurable physiological influence of the sender on the receiver, regardless of the distance.

Interestingly, as can also be seen in the RTP documentary, this effect is independent of distance and seems to be instantaneous (I feel it as such when I am doing this work) – and it is not simply a type of electromagnetism that is emitted by the transmitter throughout space, until it “reaches” the receiver. No. The effect seems to be instantaneous, and occurs even when electromagnetic shields are placed around the transmitter and receiver, also invalidating any electromagnetic influence. Even with this additional shield, the effect happens all the same (for example, the receiver’s brain “lights up” at the exact moment that the transmitter’s brain also lights up).

This is very interesting and important. I, personally, feel that I “go within” when I seek to connect with the other. That is, to connect with the other person to help them I “go within” myself, and I feel them within me. I “walk” in their body, within myself, and I feel where I need to touch it to influence it, and I also feel when this transformation that I catalyze happens. I feel it. It’s a bit like someone who gives a massage, or touches someone, and feels when the muscle has given in to their pressure or touch. The curious thing, which I observe daily over thousands or millions of times, because it happens several times within each session, is that at the moment I feel this transformation occurring (in me), an immediate/instantaneous effect occurs in the patient at the same time: for example, they take a deep breath, or sigh, or yawn, etc. This synchronicity is so clear to me, observed so many times already, that I have absolutely no doubt about it now. I “touch”, “turn” and “massage” their energy, and the client feels it. After this, when asked again how their complaints are, the person invariably says that they are in fact different, according to the transformation that has occurred.

What strikes us, it seems, is the fact that this happens without any kind of touch – or rather, without any visible touch that is dependent on space and time! But that doesn’t mean that there was “no touch”! Of course there was! A very special kind of touch! When you have done thousands or millions of these experiments, on hundreds of different people, and in practically all of them the same effect occurs over and over again, and a reduction in their complaints happen at the same time as these effects, you no longer have any doubts about what is happening, and that this is a real phenomenon, palpable to you, even if the world continues not to understand it, or even “make fun of it”. That is why I am now confident that there is no loss of any therapeutic effect with distance, and it is curious for me to think how reluctant I was to apply these methods remotely for fear that they would not work. I no longer have that fear, and I hope that, as people become more exposed to these realities, and see, as I saw, time and time again, what is an obvious, consistent and systematic happening, they will also become convinced like me.

For now, I will continue to give consultations both in person and remotely, but it is possible that one day I will give consultations exclusively remotely. I like being with people in person, and I like being able to interact with them personally, but mental focus only and always works at a distance, whether the person is half a meter away from me in my office, or miles away on the other side of the world. And this is what heals.

[Two good reference books on these phenomena of mental influence effects at a distance from a scientific point of view are Entangled Minds by Dean Radin and Distant Mental Influence by William Braud, the latter a little more academic. I also write about this topic of course, and present its science, in my book Pain Gone In Seconds.]
